TV mounting starts with the wall, not the bracket. Solid brick, plasterboard on studs and dot-and-dab plasterboard all hold weight differently, and dot-and-dab is the one that catches people out — the board can feel solid while there is a void behind it. We check before drilling and fix into something that will take the load.
Visible TV and device cables can be tidied using suitable cable management such as trunking. Concealed cable options depend on the wall construction and the type of cable involved, so we confirm what is appropriate before any work begins.
Mirrors, shelving and bathroom accessories follow the same principle with different weights and different fixings. Heavy mirrors in particular need fixings rated for the load rather than the plugs supplied in the box.
Curtain poles and blinds need careful measuring and setting out so they sit neatly in relation to the window, ceiling and surrounding walls.

- Usually, yes — but it depends on what is behind the board. Where there are studs we fix into them; where it is dot-and-dab with a void behind, we use fixings suited to that. If we don't consider the proposed fixing suitable for the TV and wall construction, we'll explain that before proceeding.
- Will the cables be hidden?
- Cable-management options depend on the wall and the cables involved. Trunking provides a neat surface-mounted option, and where another suitable concealment method is possible we can discuss it when quoting. We won't conceal cables in a way that is unsuitable or unsafe.
- Do you supply the bracket?
