Kitchen repairs in Birmingham
Kitchens take a lot of everyday wear. Doors that no longer sit level, a cabinet that will not stay shut or sealant gone black behind the sink are often the smaller problems that can make an otherwise usable kitchen look tired.
Kitchen cabinet problems can have several causes. A door sitting out of line may need its concealed hinges adjusted, while worn or damaged hinges may need replacing. We check what is causing the problem first, then adjust or replace what's actually needed.
Replacing cabinet doors or handles can change the look of a kitchen without replacing the complete kitchen. If you have already bought the doors, send a photo of the hinge cup and the fixing positions so we can confirm they will fit what is already there.
Tap replacement and washing machine installation are jobs where access decides the price. A tap under a shallow sink with a cupboard full of pipework takes longer than one with room to work, which is why a photo of the cupboard underneath is worth as much as a photo of the tap.
Sealant around a sink or worktop is a small job that stops a much larger one. Old sealant is cut out rather than covered over, the surface is dried properly, and the new bead is laid in one pass.

About this kind of work
- One cabinet door sits lower than the others. Is that a repair or a replacement?
- It may only need adjustment. Concealed hinges allow adjustment for height, depth and side-to-side position, but we'll first check the hinges, fixings and condition of the door before recommending repair or replacement.
- Can you fit a tap I have bought?
- Yes. Send a photo of the new tap and one of the cupboard under the sink — the space to work in and the condition of the existing isolation valves affect the time more than the tap itself does.
- Do you fit or repair gas appliances?
- No. We do not carry out gas work of any kind, including gas hobs and cookers. That must be done by a suitably registered engineer.
