Terms & Conditions
The basis on which quotes are given and work is carried out.
Awaiting business & legal review
These terms set out the intended structure and commercial position. Payment terms, cancellation windows, liability limits and any consumer cancellation rights must be reviewed and confirmed before this website is used in production.
1. Quotations
A quote request submitted through this website is an enquiry, not a booking. It does not create a contract and does not reserve an appointment.
Quotations are prepared using the description, photographs and details supplied. Where information is incomplete or the job cannot be assessed remotely, we may need to inspect the work before confirming a price.
To be confirmed: how long a quotation remains valid.
2. Starting prices
Prices shown on this website are starting prices for straightforward examples of each job. Starting prices are indicative. Final prices depend on the work required, access, existing condition, materials and any additional issues identified.
Where several jobs are requested together, they may be quoted as a combined price rather than as the sum of individual starting prices.
3. Materials
Unless a quote states otherwise, prices are for labour. Parts, fixings and materials may be charged in addition, and will be identified in the quote where they are known in advance.
4. Access
The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time, including clearing furniture and belongings where practical, and for access to power and water where the job requires it.
Where access cannot be provided and a visit is wasted, a charge may apply. To be confirmed: the amount and the circumstances in which it applies.
5. Customer-supplied products
Where the customer supplies the item to be fitted — a tap, blind, bracket, flat-pack unit or similar — it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure it is complete, undamaged and suitable for the location.
We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied goods, missing components, or the item proving unsuitable once opened. Where this prevents the work being completed, labour already carried out may still be chargeable.
6. Unexpected additional work
Photographs and descriptions cannot show everything. Where hidden damage, existing defects, unexpected wall or pipework construction, or any other issue means the work differs significantly from what was quoted, we will stop, explain the position and agree how to proceed before carrying out additional work.
Additional work is chargeable and will be quoted before it is carried out.
7. Appointments and changes
Dates and timescales given at enquiry stage are preferences only. An appointment is confirmed only once a quote has been agreed and a time has been arranged.
We will give as much notice as reasonably possible if an appointment has to be moved, and will offer an alternative.
8. Cancellation
To be confirmed: the notice period for cancelling or rearranging a confirmed appointment without charge, any late-cancellation charge, and the customer’s statutory cancellation rights for contracts agreed away from our business premises.
9. Payment
Accepted payment methods and the point at which payment is due are confirmed with your quote before work is booked.
To be confirmed: accepted payment methods, payment terms, whether a deposit is required for larger jobs, and any charge applied to late payment.
10. Property, damage and existing defects
Reasonable care is taken in the customer’s home. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, wear, or damage that becomes apparent as a result of necessary work — for example tiles, plaster, sealant or fixings that fail when disturbed. Where we can foresee such a risk we will raise it before starting.
To be confirmed: insurance position and any limitation of liability, once cover is in place and verified.
11. Scope limitations
We do not carry out:
- Gas work or boiler work of any kind
- Rewiring, consumer unit work, new circuits or major electrical installation
- Structural work
- Any work requiring a certification or registration we do not hold
Minor like-for-like electrical accessory replacements are offered only where the existing installation is suitable, and are subject to inspection and applicable requirements. Where a job needs a specialist, we will say so rather than take it on.
12. Contact
