Privacy Policy
How information submitted through this website is used, stored and protected.
Awaiting business & legal review
This policy sets out the intended structure and approach. Retention periods, the identity of any third-party processors and the data controller's contact details must be confirmed and reviewed before this website is used in production.
Who we are
Woody Property Services provides repair, installation and property-maintenance services in Birmingham and selected surrounding areas. This policy explains what happens to the information you give us.
To be confirmed before publication: the trading name and address of the data controller, and the contact point for privacy enquiries.
Information collected through quote requests
When you submit a quote request we ask for:
- The service category and a description of the job or jobs
- The number of items or tasks involved, where you tell us
- Photographs of the job, where you choose to provide them
- Your postcode, and optionally a house number or name
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- Your preferred contact method and preferred timing
We ask for a postcode rather than a full address at enquiry stage, because a postcode is enough to confirm whether the job is within our service area.
Photographs you upload
Photographs are used to understand and price the work. Please avoid including people, documents, keys, alarm details or anything else you would not want us to hold. If a photograph contains something you would rather we did not keep, tell us and we will delete it.
To be confirmed: where uploaded photographs are stored, who can access them, and how long they are retained after a job is completed or an enquiry is declined.
Why we collect this information
- To prepare and send you a quote
- To confirm whether your location is within our service area
- To contact you about your enquiry using the method you chose
- To arrange, carry out and invoice agreed work
- To keep records of work carried out
We do not use quote request details for marketing unless you have separately asked us to.
How we contact you
We use the contact method you select on the form — phone, WhatsApp or email. If we cannot reach you that way we may try one of the other details you supplied, in connection with the same enquiry.
Data retention
To be confirmed: retention periods for enquiries that do not result in work, for completed jobs, and for financial records that must be kept for a defined statutory period.
Third-party services
This website and any future enquiry handling may rely on third-party providers for hosting, file storage, email delivery and payment processing.
To be confirmed: the specific providers used, the countries in which data is processed, and the safeguards in place.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for data to be deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies
This website does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If analytics or similar technologies are added, this section will be updated and any consent required will be requested.
Contact
For any question about this policy, or to ask us to delete information you have sent us, use the details on our contact page.
To be confirmed: a dedicated privacy contact address and the date this policy last took effect.
