In short
When you accept a quote online you normally have 14 days to change your mind, without giving a reason. Telling us is enough — a phone call, an email or a message. You don’t have to use a form, and you don’t have to explain yourself.
If you ask us to start work inside those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work already done. If you ask us to start and we finish the job inside that time, the right to cancel ends when the work is complete — we’ll always ask you to confirm you understand that before you agree to an early start. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by post, or an email or telephone call). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been performed until you have communicated us your cancellation from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
If your quote includes a part supplied by us
Most of our quotes are for the work, with the main parts and fittings supplied by you. Where a quote does list a part supplied by us, the cancellation period runs from when that part reaches you rather than from when you accepted:
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
Model cancellation form
You do not have to use this form. It is here because we are required to offer it, and because some people prefer a form to a phone call. Any clear statement that you are cancelling is enough.
